Christmas and New Year at Clarence House are memorable, with glittering trees and garlanded beams, glowing open fires and tables filled with festive fare.

Out and about from Clarence House are escapes of every description. Quiet beaches for tranquil strolls; Lake Windermere and Coniston Water for gentle cruises and contemplations; and one of Wordsworth's favourite haunts the lovely Duddon Valley.

With Furness Abbey, South Lakes Wild Animal Park, golfing, fishing and horse riding all close by, there is plenty to entice everyone.
