Elizabeth N. Botten
Elizabeth N. “Betty” Botten, 85, of Butler Road died on Wednesday August 11, 2021, at her home with her loving family by her side in the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Plattsburgh on February 13, 1936, daughter of Herman and Marion (Rollier) Squires.
Betty enjoyed doing genealogy and spending time with her family at Camp Chazy Lake. She was religious coordinator for the Diocese of Ogdensburg at the central school in Beekmantown and an active parishioner at St. Peter’s Church.
Betty was predeceased by her parents and a brother, James Squiers.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Charles Botten; two sons, Matthew Botten, Thomas (Rosemary) Botten; three daughters, Susan (Timothy) Cain, Bethany (Bob) Terry, Nancy Botten; one sister, Margaret (Clark) Duquette, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A Christian funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 14, 2021 at 10 a.m. in Saint-Pierre church.
Interment will follow at Saint-Pierre cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Hospice of the North Country.
Arrangements are made at Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
